2010年7月，巴基斯坦遭暴雨袭击，洪水成灾。巴基斯坦五分之一区域被洪水淹没，2000万人受灾，受灾人数超过2004年印尼海啸、2005年克什米尔地震和2010年海地地震的总人数。
The 2010 Pakistan floods began in July 2010 following heavy monsoon rains. At
one point one-fifth of Pakistan’s total land area underwater and the floods
effected the lives of 20 million people, exceeding the combined total of
individuals affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the 2005 Kashmir
earthquake and the 2010 Haiti earthquake. The floods left nearly 2000 dead and
caused heavy destruction to property and infrastructure.
